I speak only from having sat in the Unevent Curia session, where the
increase was hotly debated.

The general thought was that many people in general were opposed to
increasing the travel funds in the first place.  People were less
opposed, when said funds were going to be directly put in place to
'support Atlantia itself' ... allowing their Majesties to fulfill all of
their Atlantian commitments (Baronial Elevations, Coronation, Crown) ...
and to attend other Atlantian events, being a 'presense within the Kingdom'
