I'd say no one has a "right" to a frustrated rant in a PUBLIC forum. 
However in your own journal among your friends yes you certainly do.

I'd like to clear something up though.  I have not read the post.  I am
not on his friends list.  I am assuming that it was a "frustrated rant". 
Regardless of what he said it was a PRIVATE CONVERSATION.  THAT's the part
that seems to be causing confusion.  And yes, everyone has the right to
private conversations.

Even more so, as someone else put in a much better written post than
anything I have or will say - you can't expect anyone to be official 24/7.
 Until it comes in an official medium of communication from the SCA it is
NOT something that should be worried about.

I assure you that removing children's activities is a big enough issue
that if the BOD were to actually consider it they'd request comments
first.  THEN people can worry about it.
