To the best of my knowledge, the gatherings at the farmhouse were not 
specifically sanctioned by the SCA and were not covered by SCA insurance.

Think of them as a post-revel (in cases where they occurred after an 
event) or simply as a get-together. I myself attended a couple of these 
gatherings and that's the overwhelming impression I got.
