I am a newcomer to the area and yesterdays event was the first that I had attended at Marinus.
It was impressive in so many ways. Organized, colorful talented friendly people.
The groups of artists and craftmen was outstanding.
The artistry displayed in that hall made me want to learn more and improve.
(still thinking of the Lady who translated french recipes for
scrumpious sauces and the gold foiled chicken)
While I cannot define Champion, I went away from that hall feeling that there were manymany
champions in attendance yesterday.
Thank you all.

Subject: [MR] In Lieu of a Champion
I recall that not too long ago I heard a Barony identify a position with which
it recognizes a person's accomplishments or ability in A&S without calling that
person a "champion."
Given the nature of the Arts and Sciences, it seemed to me at the time very
fitting; but given the nature of my memory, I cannot recall either which Barony
it was or what they called the person!
Would someone who recognizes that to which I refer, please enlighten me about
those facts?
Your servant aye
