Greetings from Baron Mungoe,
I wish to make a few clarifications as to this weekend and KAS. FIrst off I would like to make correct some nomeclature-
A war practice is a fighting evolution were we fighters do a lot of fighting with pre existing leader and units with a little verbal training. Focus on the act of fighting, how to engage in a war.
A war college is a fighting evolution were we fighters do a lot of teaching, classes, and practicle applications of what is learned on the field with both novice leaders and senior leaders learning from each other. Focus on the art of warfare and not so much on the act of warfare.
University classes on fighting are almost always on set section of fighting, and or class discussion on tactics. (The triade, polearm fighting, battle field commands etc etc.)
Since the start of the planning of this KAS we (Lord Mathew and I.) had always intended to have a War College run by the Sargents of the Army. As a War College is focused on the Art of War, we feel this fits into KAS. We are going to have static displays on formations, classes on battle field presence and other things that focus on the Art and Science of Warfare. This is still a focus for us, we are also going to focus on the scenarios that will be used at Gulf wars as a request from the higher ups in the army. However this is still about the art of warfare, as would be the live steel fighting now in A&S, abnd other things
Further, the Sargents of Saint Aiden are showing our support for the Arts
and sciences by having a display table with things we gentle flowers of the battle field are doing in the arts. (Yes, there are even a few pearls in out ranks.) So please feel free to come visit our table and the displays we will set up.
Thank you
BAron Mungoe McKlinchey
Sargent Major of the Sargents of Saint AIden
