I think it is unfortunate when folks who are in acute grief are quoted and
dissected. When trying to make sense of such a horrific event as the death
of a child, often there is overwhelming anger and denial that can easily
overcome what you would choose to say in more "normal" circumstances.
Pretty hard to conceive that such a loss was preventable.
I would prefer to think of her as grieving than as someone too stupid or
unfit for survival.
