[MR] Arabic tree for bows and arrows

Does anyone know what tree the "nab" might  be?  It is mentioned in a 
12th-century Arabic poem as the most solid tree  which exists, and the footnote says 
that this tree is often mentioned by Arab  poets as that from which arrows and 
bows are made.
