[MR] Heraldic Mail Out - form notice

You should have received (or will receive in a day or two), a mail-out from me with lots of information.  Included in that mail-out, is a set of submissions forms.

Unfortunately, we have discovered that an error at the copying service which produced the mailing resulted in submissions forms that are almost too small to meet current standards.  (They are just at the edge of acceptable variance.)  If you recopy these forms "as is", you may end up with forms that exceed the allowable variance (and at any time, without warning, Laurel might remove the allowable variance, requiring strict adherance to the size specs).  It is recommended that you download the original forms from the Atlantian heralds' web site at herald.atlantia.sca.org and follow the instructions for printing them at the correct size.  

Alternatively, you can use a copier to enlarge the forms included in the packet to 106% of their current size which should produce an acceptable form.  In either case, it is advisable to use a ruler on the emblazon section of any of the armory forms to make sure the size of the emblazon matches the size specified on the form.

Please be further advised that the August 2006 version (Laurel v 2.0; Atlantia v. 2.0) are the ONLY forms acceptable for submission.  If you are harboring older forms, or have scanned them into your computer and changed the fonts, sizing or placement, get rid of them!  

This is not new information, nor is it something we are being arbitrary about.  Uniform standardizing of SCA-wide submissions forms was enacted by Laurel a couple of years ago, and we "officially" stopped accepting old forms in December of last year.
