Greetings Unto the Kingdom of Atlantia from Her Majesty Arielle,
Good populace. During Our time as King and Queen We have endeavored to
provide original scrolls to those eligible gentles who receive awards during
Our courts. One issue that We have run into is that We often receive award
recommendations without enough time to have an original scroll prepared,
often just before an event. We of course, recognize worthy gentles even if
We cannot provide an original scroll. However, to be able to provide
original scrolls, which can add much to the day for the award recipient, We
really need to receive the recommendation at least 3 weeks in advance. This
allows for review of the recommendation by the Crown, submission of the
scroll need to the Clerk Signet's Office, proper research of the gentle's
persona, name and device and assignment and creation of the scroll.
While there will always be instances of deserved recognition thought of just
before an event and awards decided the day of an event, We would ask that
the time needed to prepare a scroll be considered when you consider the
timing of submitting award recommendations. Atlantia's scribes are gentles
that generously volunteer of their time and talents and this will help cut
down on the amount of "combat scribing" that takes place, sometimes keeping
scribes from enjoying the days events.
In Service to Atlantia,
Her Majesty Arielle
