Post Pennsic Dessert Revel - August 18, 2007
Barony of Storvik - College Park, MD

It is that time of year again! The great war has been fought and we have
now returned home to our lands to celebrate the time we had. Revelry and
laughter are to be heard instead of the clash of blades as we celebrate
the glories of Pennsic, hot showers, and the ability to do laundry
whenever we want.

The mighty and glorious Barony of Storvik invites you to an evening of
enjoyment at its traditional Post Pennsic Dessert Revel. This year we are
going to be touching the roots of the traditional Post Pennsic revel from
years past with many old traditions brought forth once more. For example,
the Great Survey will return to see who has unpacked, done all their
laundry, and even polished their armour. Will you be one of them?

What dessert revel would be complete without desserts? There will be a
'Best Period Dessert' competition (please bring basic documentation and
ingredients list) as well as a 'Best Use of Chocolate' competition. Both
will be served to the populace at large after judging! (Though the
autocrat is allergic to nuts, coconut, and cinnamon, so keep that in mind
for the Best Use of Chocolate competition!) Please feel free to bring a
dessert (period or not) for general consumption and the delight of
tastebuds everywhere. While there will be an exceedingly light day-board
served, this is a dessert revel and there will not be a full meal served.

Of course the 'Best Pennsic Story' bardic circle will be held, and bards
are welcome to entertain throughout the evening. All may vie for the 'Best
Pennsic Bruise,' though documentation is required. There will be dancing
and games available for all. The Baron of Storvik will be quite pleased to
see the period game of cribbage being played! So come one, come all, to
the merry Post Pennsic Dessert Revel!
