[MR] A Word on Assessments and Pennsic

Unto the Populace of Atlantia does Sinclair Hawkins, Warlord of the Legions, send Greetings,

 

Fellow Atlantians, the Time grows near for us to march north to aid our cousins in Battle against their Sworn Foes.  Crops are being quickly harvested, tents repaired, weapons made and armor polished bright.  In addition to these preparations I have but two things to add to the list.

 

First, this weekend, I call the Legions of Atlantia forth to be reviewed, tested and trained to better prepare ourselves for the upcoming slaughter we are about to visit upon those poor pitiful fools who take their positions in our paths.  Valharic, Imperator Atlantia, has assured our allies that fierce Atlantia will take the field against all comers and we cannot let his Word be less than Truth in this matter.  Even if you cannot take the Field of Battle with the Legions of Atlantia in a few short weeks, make yourself available this weekend to increase your skills for the next conflict and to provide the soldiers who march forth to glorious battle at Pennsic soon a worthy enemy to practice against.  For those who do not fight yet provide aid and support for fighters, chiurgeons, water bearers, craftsman and the many others that help Atlantia take the field whether it be for Armored fighting, Rapier or Archery, please attend as well for without your support the army cannot and will not be at its full strength.  You are needed, each and every one, even it if only be for part of one day or even for only one battle.

 

Second, at Pennsic, there is an opportunity for the Kingdoms present to show their pride in their Kingdom, their wealth, and their skills.  In this we all know that Atlantia outshines all others but these other Kingdoms foolishly continue to believe themselves superior in these attributes.  I call one and all to be present at the Great Procession during Opening Ceremonies.  Our beloved Rulers ask that any and all that can be present to be dressed in their finest Blue and White garb to show our Unity, our Glory and our Strength.  The Opening Ceremony will take place at 10am but we will gather before that time to gather our mighty host and to organize for our triumphant entrance.  I will write again soon with the specific time and place of this gathering to prepare.  It is my desire to see such a display of Kingdom colors in garb and banners that all others leave the ceremony feeling that they wish they could have walked in with us as an Atlantian.

 

Preparations continue, training proceeds and the wagons of war are being loaded even now.  Soon we will let loose the Legions to do what we do better than any others but for now prepare.  We train this weekend but soon we attack.
