My heartfelt sympathies to you and your lady, Mikhail! I think it'd be a good idea for you to post pics and/or descriptions of your gear, so people can keep an eye out for it. Chances are slim that anything will show up at an event, but ebay has everything!

Best of luck in getting your insurance company to pay out, at least-

  All--

Well, my Lady Wife and I *had* planned to enjoy Pennsic this year, but...

Our trailer (a 6'x10' black Haulmark box-trailer), complete with very nearly our entire SCA equipment collection, has been stolen. There was nearly $7500 worth of tentage, camp-gear, beds, carpets, coolers, etc., never mind the value of the trailer itself. Police and insurance reports have been filed, but I frankly don't hold much hope of recovering the gear.

If anyone who attended Pennsic in '04 or '05 (XXXIII or XXXIV) came by the Lochmere encampment and snapped a photo of our Yurt and/or our Wedge tent, we would appreciate getting a copy of said photo--'proof' of its existence, as well as of much of the gear. Thanks in advance, if you are able to help on this front.

Needless to say, as a result of this loss, coming so shortly before Pennsic, CC and I will be unable to attend this year, barring a not-so-minor miracle. With luck and perseverance, hopefully we can make it next year.

Wishing you all a marvelous War, we remain--

In Service,
Mikhail Novgorodets and Christiana Chaykinaia,
