[MR] A small reminder regarding demos

Greetings unto the friendly and gracious populace of Atlantia from Luce
Antony Venus, Kingdom Chatelaine!

This kingdom in general has an excellent record with respect to demo
compliance.  That said, it never hurts to briefly review the finer points of
Society demo policy -- there have been quite a few changes in the last few
years, particularly with respect to combat activity.  If you participate in
demos, you need to be aware of the rules.

1) Your group seneschal MUST approve the demo, and someone who is a paid
member MUST be in charge.  If children (i.e. under 18) are present, there
must be two unrelated adults attending the demo supervising.

2) Any martial activity taking place at a demo requires the presence of an
appropriate marshal, and any combat participants must be warranted.  UNDER
NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY AN SCA DEMO PARTICIPANT HIT A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WITH
A WEAPON.  ONLY children under 12 years old may strike an armored fighter,
and then ONLY with a boffer weapon.

Many thanks to all of the people in this Kingdom who work so hard to put
Atlantia's best face forward at demos across the Kingdom.  At schools, at
libraries, at festivals and movie theaters, these dedicated individuals
educate and inspire, and their work is to be applauded.  If you have never
had the pleasure of participating in a demo and seeing the wonder come over
someone seeing the Middle Ages come to life, I would encourage you to give
it a try.
