Having been one of the ones on the stage, I can tell you for certain that a large part of that problem stemmed from the venue itself (and most often, does)...

To be quite honest, the Royals were set a bit too far back on the stage, which caused the sound to not deliver as far from the "canopy".  A foot further would have made a huge difference, but I'm sure those setting the stage for court had to work out the best way to fit them all on.

Stage lights would have also added to the visibility, but the flip side there is that it would have added to the heat in the room as well, so as one wearing wool, I'm glad it wasn't any warmer!

No site is absolutely perfect, and we are grateful to have the availability of those we _can_ obtain, and to the Canton of Charlesbury Crossing for having undertaken such a huge and wonderful event!  They did a great job!

So, hop in there early and get a front row seat so you can hear and if you are unable, pretend you are in church (just don't snore)!  ;-)
