Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts, calls and cards during my recent cardiac adventure. And thanks to the folks who posted to mailing lists far and wide.  I’m out and about now – I’ve even gone back to work, though I’m not supposed to pick up anything heavier than a small harp for a few more days.  

Since I know some people are wondering what happened, it was ventricular tachycardia, which a friend described as “your heart going apes**t on you.”  According to the cardiologists, although I really haven’t taken care of my arteries, I have a good strong heart that just gets “irritable” sometimes (which may explain a lot of things!) and they expect to be able to control it with drugs.  And diet <sigh>.

Sometimes it takes a crisis or a disaster to find out how many people care about you, and I’m grateful I did.  So, tell someone you care, today.
