[MR] expectations

I think there are many ways to be an amazing Queen, and for that matter an
amazing King.

And I raise that last point specifically because the truth of the matter is,
there are TWO people sitting the thrones, not just one. And each of our
Royal couples brought to their reigns unique blends of skills and talents
that they apply to the greater good of Atlantia. Ideally, all the things we
expect of our royals, both aspirational and practical, should be embodied in
BOTH King and Queen, or at the very least one of them.

Our Royals are all unique individuals, and no matter who ends up winning
Crown Tourneys in the future that will always be the case. I love the idea
of a serious and thoughtful and positive discussion of what we think makes a
good Queen or King. I hesitate at the thought of having a discussion where
we single out the Queen alone, because it fails to recognize that every
reign is a partnership, and each partnership finds unique ways to handle the
challenges of being on the thrones.

For example, the ability to engage in public speaking is not a gift that
everyone has, and while it is a lovely thing to have in a Queen (because of
all the Courts and other things), it may not necessarily be required,
particularly if there is also on the thrones a King who is quite adept at
it. Indeed, I can imagine a situation where having two highly verbal people
on the throne might not yield the best result. The problem with creating
expectations solely for a Queen outside the context of the Royal partnership
is that it doesn't accommodate the notion that a Queen who exists outside
that "perfect queen" box may be the perfect foil for the King with whom she
reigns.

Perhaps we could expand our discussion to encompass BOTH King and Queen? Or
simply Royal Personages more generally?
