Unto good Seneschal Andrea of the Kingdom of Atlantia does Sir Master Brand
deux-Leons of An Tir send greetings and wishes of health and happiness this
Season.

     I travel to Western Seas (Hawai'i) in April of '08 to take part in a
modern fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through their
Team in Training (TnT) program.
 I have the opportunity to carry the Arms of the SCA with me, with your
Kingdom's help.  We did a smaller fundraiser in September in conjunction
with the SCA, and it was a success.  This event has more potential exposure
for the SCA.

     To support this next fundraiser (a Triathlon) An Tir is hosting
"Buy-a-Life" Tournaments, Auctions and direct appeals.  If the People of the
SCA donate $5,000.00 to the LLS, the SCA will become a Gold Sponsor.  Our
Name and Arms will again be on the Race Day Jerseys of our participants and
seen by thousands of spectators.  In addition, the Arms and Name of the SCA
will be printed on next season's TnT LLS T-Shirts, ~200,000 LLS Brochures,
Team in Training A-Boards placed at all major WA/ AK TnT Events, and be
featured on the WA / AK Chapter's TnT Websites.
 Our goal in An Tir is to raise half of the overall goal ourselves: $2,
500.00.

The BoD has once again approved this effort.  I am hoping your Kingdom will
as well.
I am seeking permission to contact your Kingdom's branches to request
donations or fundraisers (such as a public tourney or auction to raise
money).  As I mentioned, the People of An Tir will provide half the goal. We
are only asking the other 18 Kingdoms _as a group_ to each come up with the
other half (~$500.00 each Kingdom).

I believe this noble goal will be easily met.
