[MR] Sea Wars and Trimaris

Actually, I live in sunny Trimaris these days. Trimaris has a mailing list, albeit much, much less formal than the Merry Rose. It's a Yahoo Group, even. I've sent a message asking if there's any interest. Like the Merry Rose, though, it's a select group who hang out on Trimaris-Temp. In general, any big issue is going to draw the same 25 people as every big issue before it. If folks opine, I'll share it with Atlantia.
Cheers,
Cecily Clervaus,
Erstwhile Atlantian

I was waiting for that. Did anyone here attend the
last Sea Wars? I had thought that perhaps folks had
forgotten the reasons why Sea Wars ended, perhaps for
selfish reasons. I am not a fighter and there for was
never involved in it. But I do miss the event greatly,
there was so much to do and see at this event.
I do have to wonder though if there are any in
Trimaris who miss the event as well? I believe
interest has been greatly displayed here, certainly
enough interest to warrant looking into the
possibility. At least I think so.
As far as our cousins to the west in Forth Castle, my
group is the closest Atlantian group to them. We
actually do a great deal with Forth Castle from events
to demos. One demo has a minimum of 5k visitors each
year. As I said, Savannah is only a 45 minute drive
for me which makes Forth Castle the closest group to
us distance wise. I am more than willing to speak to
them and get their opinion on the matter.
Next question: Does anyone know the Crown of Trimaris?
Anyone on good enough terms to feel them out on the
subject? Do they have a "Merry Rose"?

Waiting for what, a disenting opinion?
Did anyone here attend the

Yup, remember it fondly. But there were a number of
administrative issues with the event as I recall
(stuff not worth getting into on the MR) and the turn
out from anywhere north of Windmasters was...slight.
I had thought that perhaps folks had

Events have a shelf life. See Salt Wars, Sea Wars,
Pointless Wars, Crusades...one day folks will be
saying 'man, I remember when War of the Wings was
actually FUN!'
:-) We certainly do like to gripe a lot.

I think that is the bigger problem...there really
aren't a any Mega Events in SC/Georgia,as far as
Atlantia goes, are there? No population to support
them? Or is it that folks from up north won't come
because of the drive?

There are a couple. I have talked to them. They say
that they are in the minority. In the last 3 years
they have mentioned the subject and the overall
feeling was 'why bother?'.

I disagree. It is folly to think that anything on the
Merry Rose is grounds for a consenus. None the less,
if you want to persue it, there is nothing stopping
you.

I think he might have been one of the knights I was
referring to before. You might be in luck...

Yeah, Trimaris does have a kingdom list, like the
merry rose. I think you can get onto it through thier
kingdom website.

If you are talking aout fighting, then NC is part of
the Southern Army. It is not a part of Central.

And I've frequently heard Bright Hills, Highland Foorde, and the other
northernmost groups called the Northern Marches (or was it Northern
Reaches?) or something similar.

Very true facts again.

No, there isn't any large events held down here. In
fact the closest Atlantian war to us is now War of the
Wings which is a 4.5 hour drive for me. Other than
that the closest wars would be Castle Wars and Fool's
War held in Macaon Ga (Meridies).
