[MR] An Invitation to a Ball at Twelfth Night

Dear Friends,

It is my pleasure to invite you to a Masked Ball at Atlantian Twelfth
Night on January 12, 2008 in the Barony of Sacred Stone. Two and a half
hours have been scheduled for this revel (5:00 to 7:30), I have selected
a list of dances that should appeal to novice and master dancers alike,
and many fine musicians will be gathering and playing to support the
ball! The list of dances can be found at the end of this letter. Most
dances will be taught at the ball, so do not let inexperience keep you
absent. It is said that nothing drives the cold winter away so well as
revelry and dance, so I do hope that many of you will join me on the
dance floor!

In preparation for the ball, the Canton of Buckston-on-Eno (Windmasters
Hill) will be hosting an extra-long dance session on Tuesday evening,
January 8 from about 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM, with a short break for the
canton business meeting. I will be going over as many dances from the
Twelfth Night ball list as possible, and Buckston will also offer light
refreshments to help sustain your stamina. All are welcome to attend
this practice, or any of the regularly scheduled dance practices that
occur on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:45. We have
been having a wonderful turnout at these practices (I counted fourteen
dancers last week) and there's no better time to come join the fun!
