Greetings to the lists from Gisela, event steward of the recent birthday
celebrations in Sacred Stone. Please pass this post on to anyone who might
benefit from it.
First, I want to thank all who came to the event and endured the heat to
join us . . . to make another's day brighter and better . . . to help . . . just
to be there. I was blessed with the best staff of people an event steward
could hope for. They all did what they said they'd do . . . and then some. Multi
Opus Alleviat!
When, at the end of an incredibly hot day, people approached me in great
numbers, smiling SMILING just to tell me what a good event it had been, after
they'd worked enmasse to solve problems where possible, jumping in to offer help
or deciding that all those day shades around the list field would make court
much easier to enjoy and ~doing~ something about it, when they were flagging
down strangers and all but forcing food and liquids on them, ice and rest .
. . ~that~ was the Society I joined. The one I love. It made me incredibly
happy to be part of that day.
Now, on to the rest . . . Lost and Found items at SSBB this weekend. I have
them all in my possession with the exception of 14.
1) A Helmet (?) bag that my cats thinks smells OMG interesting!
2) A black . . . tube with something firm inside that looks like it might be
used for padding under a helmet
3) A Rapier sword
4) A straw hat
5) Two blue favor-type strips of cloth with gold letters embroidered on each
end.
6) A circlet
7) A purple fleece pouch
8) A white-metal mug with a clear bottom
9) A necklace of macreme cord with black beads and a medallion
10) A multi-colored towel in the ladies room
11) A large barrette
12) A pair of glasses, pretty sure they're ladies'
13) A pair of snap-on sunglasses
14) Children's activities pouch with Silk Road items inside
