[MR] Chatelaine 101 class

Greetings to the Tavern!

The Chatelaine 101 class, which is requirement to hold a chatelaine's
warrant, will be offered at the Coronation of Logan and Rowan, at 2 p.m.

If you have not yet completed the class, or are interested in taking on the
office of Chatelaine, please join us.

We will also be offering Chatelaine 102 at 3 p.m.  This class is not
required for warranting, but most chatelaines will tell you that this class
has been a great help to them in understanding how to be truly effective at
their job.

Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have taken
on the job of Chatelaine.  Welcoming newcomers is an important part of
growing your local group, growing Atlantia, and the SCA as a whole.  It is
also a demanding job that requires enthusiasm, people skills, and attention
to detail.  Each of you who has undertaken this commitment is a wondrous and
special person indeed.  Personally, I believe that Atlantia has the best
chatelaines in the Knowne World.

For those groups that do not have chatelaines, I would like to challenge you
to consider finding someone to fill that position.  While it may not be
required for a group to have one, it certainly is a boon to any group.  If
you play with a group that does not have a Chatelaine, ask yourself, "Why
don't I take up the position?" You could do a great service to your group
and your Kingdom.
