Hear! Hear!  Vivats to Achbar for a sensible head!  Plus, my two cents ... if you can't afford to come to an SCA event or cannot afford feast, regardless of whether you have been invited to High Table, I think you have bigger problems and this hobby is a luxury you can't afford!
