This is only the 2nd time I have ever posted to the "tavern", but feel the need to ask the questions...Where does the Kingdom Exchequer come in on this issue? How are local groups to handle the extra "comp'd" meals on their event paperwork so as not to jeopardize their group? Is the explanation..."guests of the Crown" good enough on the event report to maintain tax exempt status? Will they need to be submitted with the event budget prior to the event?
Let us put aside courtesy / ethical questions and get a definitive answer on the practical handling of this issue. Local groups need this information before they can even vote to change their financial policy to accomodate Their Highness' wishes. Once these questions have been answered, individual groups can decide whether or not to accomodate "comp'd" guests or keep their current policies in tact.
