Your Highness,

Perhaps you are forgetting one very important fact here. These groups 
that have comping regulations are in direct response to rules and 
regulations that have come down from Kingdom. The Kingdom enacted them 
in direct response to regulations handed down from the Board of 
Directors. The Board sent these down in response to the regulations and 
laws concerning Not-for-profit organizations and issued from the 
Internal (Infernal?) Revenue Service.

As much as we all like to play Lords and Ladies, Barons and Baronesses, 
Prince and Princesses, Kings and Queens, the simple fact remains we are 
all subject to the Mundane Laws of the United States of America. The 
lawmakers of our country do not give a wet slap about our game or our 
titles.

Making a blanket statement that you will not attend events of any group 
that has these policies in place is a disservice to those groups who 
have these policies in place to maintain compliance with mundane laws 
that if violated could jeopardize our ability to remain the SCA and a 
Tax-Exempt Not-For-Profit organization. Their hands are tied and you are 
putting them in a position where they must make a very hard decision of 
either appeasing you and your desires...or staying compliant to the Tax 
Laws of our country.
