[MR] Bottom line on High Table

Baroness Astrid brings up a good point. Arguments aside, His Highness posted
that They met with the Society Seneschal on this matter and nothing wrong
was found with Their August Acorn letter.
Quoth Logan: "our letter was reviewed by the society exchequer and the
society seneschal (as well as our kingdom counterparts) and found to not
violate any aspect of law."
Their Highnesses aren't demanding that someone pay for all high table guests
during Their reign, only that They wish to attend the events where such
generosity is exhibited. The Crown are only required to attend Their
Coronation, Their Crown Tourney and The Coronation of Their Heirs. All other
events are at Their whim, and perhaps often expected as a part of Their
responsibility to the populace, but not a requirement.
Arguing on this list will solve nothing. Ultimately it is up to each group
hosting an event, and that groups' financial committee, to determine if they
wish to try to comply with Their Highnesses' whim for an event, or not.
Hrothny has already posted suggested actions for individuals who wish to
support Their Highnesses in this. For those who feel strongly against Their
Highnesses' whim, you can rally to your group's autocrats to not comply, but
it is up to each individual group's financial committee to decide.
Regardless of my personal opinion of Their Highnesses' whim, it is Their
desire, and if it is just and within each group's power and agreement to
comply, they should feel free to do so.

Baroness Genevieve d'Aquitaine, OP
