[MR] Out of pocket expense

Yes it is too much to ask. As an officer of my Barony, am I expected to
spend $30 out of my pocket per month to make copies of fliers and handouts
for demos? Is the Chronicler expected to par the printing and shipping costs
of the group's newsletter every month? Is the Knight Marshal expected to
come up with the money out of his/her pocket to repair/replace a damaged
list fence? Is the Exchequer obligated to pay for the new
Canton/Baronial/Shire/Kingdom checkbook when the checks run out? I could go
on, but I think the point has been made here. If an officer needs money to
do his or her job then the precedence is that the group that the person is
an officer of either foots the bill or reimburses the person.

If this is now a requirement that anyone who is in charge in any way shape
or form in charge of a children's activity then like the requirements of
other offices, then  this needs to come out of society funds. Maybe not the
Kingdom paying for everyone from Kingdom to Canton and everything in
between, but at least I think that even the average canton can afford $38
bucks every two years for an officer.
