Good Gentles!
Atlantia is a Kingdom rich in talent. What better time is there to
celebrate talent than during Coronation this weekend? Along with a number
of wonderful competitions, and the highlighted Tempore Atlantia (1000-1250
a.d.), there will be classes to tempt you indoors. See the class
schedule at the bottom of this message for times.
A&S check in begins at 9am on Saturday. Judging will begin as soon as items
arrive and will occur throughout the day. Items in all the competitions
must be in place by 1pm. Late entries may not get the full attention of the
judges. Displays need to be picked up by 4pm on Saturday to allow time for
feast set up.
For details on the competitions or the classes, please visit the A&S page
on the Coronation website: http://coronation.atlantia.sca.org/A&S.html .
We still have need of a few more judges. You do not need to be a Pearl or a
Laurel, just a knowledge of your subject and a willingness to share it with
others. Judging will be going on throughout the day, so please stop in when
you get a chance.
The class times are as follows:
12-1 Early Byzantine Clothing, Ornamentation & Accessories
1-2 Planning a Feast Around a Basic Field Kitchen
2-4 Applied Laziness as a Guiding Principle: 3/1 broken twill tablet
weaving
4-5 Imperial Roman Clothing.
All classes will take place in the A&S classroom located just across the
quad from the A&S hall.
Please feel free to forward this message.
