Activities that are tailored for children attract those that abuse children. As we as a society progress programs for children within out club, preditors will come out. If you look at the profile for a pedophiles it is hard to spot them-
Popular with adults and kids
Appear to be trustworthy and respectfull, has good standing in the community
Prefers the company of pre pubescant boys and girls
Gets invilved with adults that have children
Are usualy married famly men with no criminal record.
If not married have a home or enviroment that is kid friendly and offers opportunity to be alone with kids.
These people are hard to spot, unless they are registered, hence the check that the BOD wants to do. Pedophiles do not believe that they are doing anything wrong or harmfull, hardly ever stop once caught, and almost never turn themselve in. There sexual preference is thought to be hard wired in. They do not stop until caught.
So, the BOD's move is a good one for a start, they are going down the only road available to them under these conditions.

If it is a matter of the $700.00 the background checks will cost the
Kingdom. Then to protect Our young people let each adult wanting to work
with minors pay for their own background checks. If a person has
anything to hide, they will stay as far away from Our children as they can.
The individual price of 3 large
pizza's is a minor price to pay to protect Our Women and Children.
