I agree with Duke Logan. Please calm down. As Baroness Fiona wrote earlier, this policy is still in flux. Nothing is finalized. It is not worth getting upset right now. I know that this is a topic that includes a lot of emotional feeling but be calm and open minded. Lets wait until we have the facts and the information to respond. Our Kingdom Seneschal will keep us informed on what is happening and she will make sure that the Society knows of people's concerns. This is not something that they are considering lightly. As a person who participates in children's activities I am happy to see that the Society is concerned. Once the policy is complete, at that time I will happily do what is necessary to continue my participation in the youth activities of the Society. 
   
  So lets move on to other topics like Night on the Town or Tournament of Chivalry.

weird concept that parents will actually have to watch their own children.
we have to keep dogs on a leash at events and that hasn't hurt anyone, why
not kids. in my household there are a number of young children. ive spent
time watching them at events and can continue to do so even after the
background checks go into effect. so parents have options other than
dropping their kids off with a stranger.

but lets wait until the sky actually starts to fall before we all panic. i
have dogs and cats and they aren't sleeping together just yet. i will let
everyone know the moment that happens.
