I think that's highly appropriate here.  I think a
majority of our judges are good people.  It's just
that every once in a while you get someone who has no
tact.  

As one friend described it - there are people that
have a clue but their personalities are such that it's
impossible to work with them.

If I am lucky enough to meet the judge I do write them
later to ask for continued constructive criticism. 
That's why displaying and entering is important.  It
gives you an opportunity to meet people that have been
going through the same thing as you so you can "talk
shop" later.
