[MR] Brockshire Abbey Fighter Practice

Greeting Good Gentles,
   
  This Sunday September 24th at 2:00pm, the interest group attempting to form a new canton in the eastern parts of Nottinghill Coill unofficially calling themselves Brockshire Abbey will hold its next fighter practice. With the help of Matthew of Battle and Wilhelm from Cyddlain Downs, we will be holding a War Practice for Armored Combatants.  Also, thanks to Tor Olafson from Ritterwald, we will have target archery including a 100 yard Clout Shoot.  I am not sure about rapier at this time.  The facility will accommodate all of these activities. We are in need of loaner equipment for all activities, so bring with you what you can
  .
  For those not interested in the marshal activities, Marie Helen from Cyddlain Downs will be doing a presentation what foods are period and what are not.  There is also ample space in the hall for other A&S activities.
   
  There has been a great deal of discussion about practicing for the upcoming War of the Wings, which is just over a month away.  There will not be very many more chances to practice unit tactics and we encourage all Armored Combants to attend.  
  Also with the archery challenge made by Sacred Stone, this is another opportunity for our bowman to hone there skills and meet that challenge.  
   
  We hope to have the tremendous turnout from throughout the kingdom, as I have informed the entire facilty, staff, and student body of Coker College (the local college in our area) of the activities for the day, in an attempt to bolster our ranks.  We have a great core group here and hope these activites with strengthen that core.
   
  Directions are as follows:
   
  Directions from Columbia: I-20 East to exit 116 (Hwy 15
Bishopville) Go 16 miles to Hwy 151. Turn Left. Go 4 miles on Hwy
151 past Carolina Pines Hospital. Church is 2 blocks past the
hospital on the right.
   
  >From Florence: Best route to Hwy 52 to Hwy 151 past Darlington
Raceway. Stay on Hwy 151 (be careful. Around the race track is a
bit of a speed trap) about 12 miles. Past Carolina Pines Regional
Hospital. Church is 2 blocks past the hospital on the right.
   
  Directions from Points South: I-95 North to Hwy 52 (Exit 164 or 169
I don't remember which). Follow directions from Florence.
