Can we add giving PEOPLE "retreat" space?

Not everyone is comfortable with unfamiliar animals.  I find that even 
though I try really hard to avoid strange dogs at events, there's always the 
one dog owner who can't get the clue from my body language and insists on 
bringing the animal right into my presence.  Watch people as you approach to 
see if perhaps they show signs of discomfort.
