Subject: *WH* A&S Activities at the Pas d'armes de l'Arbre d'Or

Hello Everyone,

The Pas d'armes de l'Arbre d'Or is only a week and a half away and I wanted
to
send out a reminder about the exciting Arts and Sciences activities we have
planned.

Our A&S activities for the day will focus heavily on the 14th and 15th
Centuries.
Our first activity will be a competition for best heraldric display with
prizes
awarded to best heraldric display by a household as well as best heraldric
display by an individual. Examples of entries may include but are not
limited to
heraldric clothing, banners, field presentation, surcoats, helm crests or
mantles,
etc. Entrants are requested to display their entries for the heraldric
display
competition on the field to help add to the glory and pageantry of the day.
Documentation for this competition is encouraged but not required and does
not
need to be in any special format. Please use you preferred method when
documenting your entries.

In addition to the heraldric display competition there will also be an open
display in which all artisans are invited to display completed works as well
as
works in progress. Artisans are also welcome to display items of clothing
and
accessories that they may be wearing. Active displays are welcome and all
artisans are invited to spend time with their displays during the day to
discuss
their arts with the populace and fellow artisans. Documentation is strongly
encouraged for entries in the open display. Please contact me (rosalind at
elizabethanmafia.com) if you have space concerns or questions.

Feel free to forward this email to any other mailing lists. Everyone is
invited to
display their skills. Please join us as we celebrate the noble arts of the
Fourteenth and Fifteenth Centuries.
