[MR] The importance of pre-reg

Good morning!

As autocrat for this past weekend's War of the Wings I asked the Baronies of Sacred Stone and Windmaster's Hill for feedback on the event before the staff has their post-event wrap-up meeting. 

The main commentary has been the shortage of portajons.  We do apologize for that, but that shortage is directly related to the lack of pre-reservations we received compared to the number that actually walked through the door.  We had 250 pre-reg and expected 3-400 and 650 showed up! While we were thrilled - we weren't quite prepared for that number.  

I know that it is difficult to commit to events in advance at times, and even I have shown up at the door to events without having pre-reserved.  But the example of the portajons this past weekend shows us a good reason why it is important that we assist our event staffs by pre-reserving whenever possible.  

It is certainly easier to plan when you have a decent estimate of how many to expect!!
