Pardon my use of bandwidth, but I am preparing to start a Master's
thesis/project and I would like to explore the SCA as a counter cultural
movement. What are your thoughts on this?
Is the SCA a counter cultural movement? In sociology, counterculture is a
term used to describe a cultural group whose values and norms of behavior
run counter to those of the social mainstream of the day (Wikipedia). Do
our norms run counter to what is currently the social mainstream of the day?
Enough for us to be considered a countercultural movement? I would like
to see what folks think.
Thank you for this brief moment.
