[MR] Dun Carraig Baronial Birthday --Brewing, Bardic, Tourney, and other activity info

Greetings to the list,

I wanted to let everyone know that the website for Dun Carraig's Baronial
Birthday, November 11 in Waldorf, MD, has been updated with information on a
number of activities for the event, as well as hotel info for those coming
from a distance.  The site is:  http://www.duncarraig.net/birthday

Activity highlights include:

-A brewing competition sposored by the Brewers' Guild of Atlantia

-Tourneys in armored combat, rapier, archery, and thrown weapons:  The
armored tourney will feature a two-hour bearpit, with a twist.  Victory
conditions for each combatant will be determined by a die roll.  Rapier will
also feature a dice tourney.  For rapier, each combatant will start with a
single sword, but may try to pick up other weapons lying at the edges of the
field---if that combatant can defend himself or herself while going for a
second weapon, that is.  In archery and thrown weapons, the ranges will be
open all afternoon, allowing gentles to shoot or throw at their leisure.
Archery will feature a combination of timed and untimed targets.

Also, as the site will allow us to set up a fire ring, we plan to have a
bardic circle in the evening after court and feast, as well as dancing
inside.

Accommodation information is also available on the website.  We have a block
of rooms reserved at the Days Inn in Waldorf, and info for the Super 8 as
well (which has no special block price).  Crash space is also available;
