I realize that this, too, is slightly OT, but thought I'd let folks know that I am looking for a new home for my Aziliz harp (I just know that there are one or two harpists out there in Atlantia....!). It was a struggle to make this decision, but I haven't played in a couple of years due to arthritis and rotator problems - it just hurts too much. For obvious (sentimental) reasons, I'd prefer it go to someone in the SCA if at all possible.
Sooo.... without further ado, here's the skinny:

Aziliz harp, blonde wood, carbon strings, full set of sharping levers. This Aziliz is a wonderful harp - great tone, light string tension - and a joy to play. There is a small scuff in the finish at the top back of the harp, right where the curve is. I am selling it due to health reasons, and since I firmly believe that harps should be played regularly, it doesn't make sense for me to keep it languishing in a corner.
Asking price is $3,400 negotiable (current retail in Richmond is now $4,475). It was purchased about eight (?) years ago. Price includes case, tuning key, electronic tuner, and a full set of replacement strings (not that you'll need them often - the carbon strings are also very forgiving).
Further information on the Aziliz harp can be found by googling "Aziliz".
Please email me privately if interested - I'll be happy to send pictures and answer any questions.

p.s. I also have a LOT of reasonably period and "Celtic" harp sheet music that I'll let go for a song to the person who takes her home.
