Class Schedule and Description for Kingdom Crusades
Classroom 1- Main Hall
10:00 AM Seneschal 101 (TBD)
This class is an overview of the seneschal's job in Atlantia, with a review and update of policy, rules and regulations. Highly recommended for any current seneschal or persons interested in becoming a seneschal. 1 hour, no cost.
11:00 AM Seneschal 102 Fiona MacLeod
This class shows you how to excel as a seneschal, including best practices on conflict resolution, motivation and problem solving. 1 hour, no cost.
12:00 PM Chatelaine 101 Luce Antony Venus
How to excel as a chatelaine, covers the warranting process, reporting, the demo policy and media policy issues. 1 hour, no cost.
1:00 PM Chatelaine 102 Luce Antony Venus
Learn the attitudes and approaches that help you succeed as a Chatelaine. This class focuses on how to build a program that focuses not only on recruitment, but retention.1 hour. No cost.
2:00 PM Exchequer 101 Gwenhwyvar Ywein
The how tos of being an exchequer, including reporting. 2 hours. No cost.
Classroom 2- The Main Hall
10:00 AM Mead Making 101 Michel von Schonsee
This class will introduce the novice brewer to the necessary techniques in making basic mead. We will discuss ingredients, equipment and types of mead. Information on making traditional melomel and metheglin meads will be provided. 1 hour, limit of 20 people, all attendees must be over 21.
11:00 AM Womens Imperial Roman Clothing Iohanna filia Iacobi
Basic class covering womens Imperial Roman clothing and suggested construction methods for womens tunica (gown), palla (mantle), and undergarments; includes a brief discussion of the stola (overgown) and an annotated bibliography.
1:00 PM Things I learned from my Harp Teacher Teleri the Well-Prepared
Simple techniques to make your playing faster, better and more accurate. Bring your harp. 1 hour, no cost.
2:00 PM Return of Improvisation Teleri the Well-Prepared
This is an updated and expanded version of my improvisation class, now with more ornamentation and variation and modal improvisation. Bring your melody instrument. 1 hour, no cost.
3:00 PM Basic Research Techniques Teleri the Well-Prepared
Research is a skill you master over time. Come and discuss the first steps down a rewarding road that underpins the historical re-creation that we do.
Classroom 3-Main Hall
10:00 AM Scribal Roundtable Tristan Alexander
Do you want to meet other scribes? Do you have a project that you are stuck on? Do you want some basic advice or do you have some to give? Come to the Scribal Roundtable and meet your fellows and help one another. 1 hour, no cost.
11:00 AM Basic Floor Loom Weaving Brienna Llewellyn Lindsey
This course will describe the various parts of a floor loom, how the looms are setup and demonstrate basic weaves such as tabbys and twills. 2 hours. No cost.
1:00 PM Weavers Gathering Open
This is a time for all the weavers to meet one another and share their knowledge or just socialize. Come out and meet each other. 1 hour.
2:00 PM How to Read and Write Tablet Weaving Patterns
The course will go into the theory and practice of graphing patterns for Tablet Weaving. All types of tablet weaving will be discussed: threaded-in patterns, 3-1 rep (double turn and double face) brocading, 3-1 twill and snartemo. 2 hours. No cost. Bring graphing paper and colored pencils if available.

10:00AM Sprang 101
An introduction to the art of sprang. This class will cover warping the loom and a basic pattern in sprang. Kits will be available. 1 hour.
11:00 AM Sprang 102
This is the intermediate class on sprang. Only those individuals who have taken the 101 class should attempt this class. This will cover more difficult sprang patterns.
12:00 PM Chronicler Roundtable Shannon Gallowglass
This is an open forum to discuss new policies on print vs. electronic media; where to find artwork and articles; copyright policies; encouraging and showcasing local talent; software issues, etc. Come out and meet your fellow chroniclers and share your opinions and ideas. 1 hour.
Youth Classes at Tinkers Damsels-the Merchant Urchins
11:00 AM Nine Mans Morris & other period board games Quintus of Bhakail
Children ages 6 & up can learn to play some simple period board games. 1 hour, no cost.
12:00 PM Beginning Juggling Serena of Bhakail
Children ages 6 and up can learn the basics of juggling. 1 hour, no cost.
2:00 PM Beginning Recorded Aminah al-Bhakailia
Children ages 6 and up can learn to play simple songs on the recorded. 1 hour. $6.00 for a recorder or bring your own.
3:00 PM The Game of Goose Aminah al-Bhakailia and Quintus of Bhakail
Children of all ages can learn to play this simple game which pre-dates Chutes and Ladders. Children under 6 should be accompanied by a responsible guardian. 1 hour. No cost.
Living History Display on the Rapier Field
A re-creation of a Trayned Bandes of London military muster at a tavern from 1586. There will be games to try, food to sample and people to answer your questions.
