Well, even without doing fancier math about groups per region etc. It
is the case that our 4 state region can easily support 2 events per
weekend, a northern-ish and a southern-ish ... with central groups
filling either role.

That means, 64 events for those 32 weekends ... also, add in at least 6
more events, for 'legal conflicts against Kingdom Weekends' ...

That means we could easily support 70 'wowish' events a year, not
counting Kingdom events.

So that's more than 1 event per group, per year.

At that level, we would have all groups able to plan and host bigger,
better events, that were 'worth going to' (bad wording, but you get the
gist).

Now that doesn't take into account 'very focused events', Like a Rapier
Academy, or the Kingdom Target Archery Championship ... but, you get the
gist.

Anyway, we could certainly, as Atlantia, as a whole, look at rolling
back the number of events we host.

Why, I remember when I first started in the SCA in AEthelmearc, when we
had to drive 3 hours to the closest event, and we had 5 events a year
that we could go to. And we liked it! Every event was a BIG thing,
the whole shire would get together having garb workshops, armor
workshops, make campsite food together, etc. All in prep for the next
event, which was 2 months away.
Oh, and uphill both ways, in foot deep snow!
