[MR] The importance of pre-reg

Absolutely!! Pre-registrations are important for any event, but especially
one as large as War of the Wings, where so many arrangements are based on
the number of people.
Even for smaller events, pre-registrations help the event staff figure out
food purchases, site tokens, and other details, and are a huge help. As a
first-time autocrat planning for an event in a couple weeks, I've often
found myself thinking "This would be *so* much easier if those who knew they
were coming would pre-register!"
There are lots of reasons people don't, I know. Maybe you're busy and
forget to send the check, maybe you're short on money and payday isn't until
the Friday before the event, or maybe you just won't know whether you're
going or not until you see the weather that day. But, when it's possible,
sending in a pre-reservation makes life much easier for the event staff, and
also helps them to provide everything you need to enjoy the event (such as
rentint enough portajohns).
Congratulations on the great turnout at WoWI, by the way, Rozsa. It sounds
like it was a spectacular event.
YIS,
Adriana
