[MR] Refund v. Donation

Just an alternative point of view...

More often than not, I pre-reserve AND pay for feast.  But also more often 
than not, I don't stay for feast.  While I do let the troll know that they 
can go ahead and sell my feast space, I never ask for a refund, choosing 
instead to make it a donation to the hosting group, especially if it's a 
group I know doesn't have a lot of money.

Same with events I choose not to attend after sending my reservation. 
Having been an exchequer for many years, and an autocrat, I know refunds can 
be a hassle, so I don't mind forfeiting the refund, especially if I know 
they bought food with the intent I would be there to eat it.

I realize this wouldn't be practical for families who pre-reserved, since 
the amount forfeited would be so much greater.
