Well, all groups are now required to have their refund policy in their 
financial policy ... and it has been recommended to groups, to have a 
lenient one, that allows for refunds at least up to the day of the 
event, if not perhaps including the Monday afterwards.

I do believe (but would be happy to be proven wrong), that most groups 
have adopted such a policy.

Very well then, I do stand corrected.   That hasn't happened for any 
event I have autocratted, nor been 'close to the autocrat' on.
