every marshal that has expressed an opinion to me personally regarding these
rules has stated plainly that they will ignore them.  not just atlantians,
in fact mostly not atlantians.  i never said atlantian marshals.  in fact, i
have put in my letter of resignation as a marshal of over 15 years due on
the day these rules are to be enforced.  i simply can not enforce senseless
rules and walk around as a marshal.

but in direct response to your statement, please carefully read my post.  it
is not, in any way, a condemnation of atlantian marshals (although we need a
lot of improvement too).  in fact we are in the minority as far as those
that have expressed their opinions to me directly.  those men number in the
dozens.

Let me first say I'm generally inclined to agree with your stance.  On the 
other hand, I started fighting in the Midrealm, where these new Spciety-wide

rules had been kingdom law since time immemorial, and my armour has alway 
met these standards.  Now if I could only fit back into it...:)

If that were the case, it would be a judgement on the state of the 
marshallate in Atlantia.  Regardless of your feelings on the rules, let us 
hope that this is not the case.
