I think leaving all the human factors about locked 
wrist/elbow/shoulder/pulling out and just the plain simple math is 
what's being asked.

I vote for the smaller weapon hitting harder despite it's greater 
flexibility.  The flex does not happen instantaneously, the initial 
force is there at first, the flex, or spring action comes into play a 
very short time later.  A curve representing force over time if you will 
until the force matches the columnar loading point of the blade, then 
the force remaining almost constant until the blade bends or breaks....
