Greetings Gentlemen and Gentlewomen everywhere,
Apparently Lycos has some problem with my emails.  Thanks to all who sent me
notices about not coming through.  And special thanks to the lady who
invited me to join gmail.
After reading the various e-mails about unevent, a couple of things stand
out to me.  One of the points of the original question about unevent was why
this expensive endeavor is held at possibly the worst time of year.  The
other point was location.  One lady suggested that the spring university
date be taken and unevent put in its place.  And according  to some, there
is not enough attendance  to warrant  3 sessions of university, so this
seems like the perfect solution.  Problem solved.  As to location and
groups; if, as some people seem to think,  unevent is a must have, maybe the
solution would be to have a "prime minister" or small group of people  (say
4 individuals)  that does nothing but arrange unevent.  One location in the
middle of the kingdom selected.  Every unevent at that venue only.  Modern
groups and businesses do it all the time. There would be no worrying about
groups or bids.  And speaking of groups,  I think it was very unchivalrous
to infer that anyone is trying to make a hosting group/s feel bad.  I do not
believe anything of the kind was intended.  These are legitimate concerns
and questions  of many people in the kingdom, and as such, should be able to
be posted to the kingdom list. As I will be attending unevent, I look
forward to these questions and concerns being a major topic of discussion.
If they can't be discussed and changed, then maybe the gentleman who
suggested a principality has the right idea.  If this kingdom is too large
to address and solve its problems, then maybe it is time to move ahead.
