The Blue Ridge parkway!   If I ever want to torture someone, I would make 
them drive that.  No accidents needed, just lots of old people driving real 
slow and looking at trees!  They look just like the trees around the last 
curve!!!  (grin)

And yes, I-70 across Kansas, it is the perfect cure for insomnia.

Highway 17 going over the mountains from Santa Cruz to San Jose...
and then the traffic stops. For three hours.

  It's why I still keep a book in the car even though we don't live
there anymore and trust me, scenic as it is, never will again.
