Greetings Lady Margaret Sayher
The Children's Fete at Pennsic this year was a huge success, as it was
the largest turnout of both volunteers and children to attend the Fete to
date. I don't have exact numbers in front of me, but I seem to remember over 350
happy children registering at troll. The last minute volunteers gave us a
staff approximately 100 volunteers who assisted with the preliminary stages
before Pennsic, to the those who helped cart the last boxes of supplies home
after the war. The event was so successful that we literally ran out of most
of the arts and crafts supplies for the children. However that was not a
deterrent for the happy little faces as they went to play games and win fabulous
prizes.
The Barony of Highland Foorde plaster/paint table was very successful.
The table was manned by Fete volunteers Lady Branwen Bach, Lady Fennic du
Blayz and Lord Jonah M'Coghlane. The plaster items were gone half way through
the Fete however the paints were then used to paint other items, so the Barony
of Highland Foord's table was busy with creative children through the entire
Fete.
Thank you for your donation to the Children's Fete this past Pennsic.
One can even see the success in the Fete in that children who attended
the first few Fete's are now returning to the Fete as young adults to sponsor
and volunteer the newest children blossoming in the Society. It is because
of the generosity of individuals and groups that the Children's Fete has been
growing in popularity over the years for our Society's Future-the children.
Thank again to all!
In service to Crown and Kingdom
Countess Denise Duvalier
