 Josh,

We all understand that you have advanced technical skills combined with the interest to pursue using them to their greatest advantage, I'm grateful that I'm able to benefit from the extensive time you donate using them for the SCA. I think what others are trying to tell you, if you'll listen, is that not everyone shares your interest or abilities, or more importantly, cares enough to pursue them. It's not a question of laziness, or ability, but one of priorities that others don't share with you. I'll throw my hat into the ring and say that frankly, even though I run a business and sell a lot on the Internet, I'm perfectly happy using an older e-mail program and reading digest lists.

In the ladies defense, and the interest of putting this recurring dialog to rest, wouldn't it at least be more polite and informative to write directly to the poster if something concerns you this much, instead of making this all a matter of public record *again* (or perhaps to accept that others may not have the same priorities as you and that it's okay....). It's a whole lot easier, in my experience, for others to make constructive change if they haven't been publicly humiliated or chastised in the process.

I don't know you well, but I think I know you well enough to guess that you aren't attempting to imply malice in your messages, but I have to confess that I too have found the tone of your messages a little rude and condescending as I've read them. This is, after all, a *game*, that is based on a chivalric ideal.

Just my two cents,

Geffrei de Warenne
