Excuse me. I'd like to add some information here. In western Europe,
you're statement is true. In Eastern Europe - Russia and the Slavic
states - women bow just like men, both in period, and today. There is no
difference in the technique. I'm not sure what they do in the Middle
East. But if you ever see a female Slavic persona (such as myself) bow
rather than curtsy, please don't get your feathers ruffled. We're just
trying to be true to our personas.
