I assume you mean, viable reason, as opposed to casual familiarity.

One very good example I can think of is "working".  The appearance of the
Crown/Landed at troll, the MoL table or the kitchen can be quite disruptive,
if you think you have to stop what you are doing and hop up the second they
appear.  If you are currently serving someone else (or have your hands
inside a chicken), it's best to continue what you were doing, while speaking
to the Crown/Landed about what it is they need, rather than accidentally
flinging chicken guts all over them.  ;-)  Also, depending on where you're
doing this work, hopping up may not be as easy as you might think.
Sometimes, tables with benches (like picnic tables for example) don't allow
for quick exit.
